How To Mount A Roof Top Tent

Rooftop tents are mounted on roof racks or crossbars on top of a vehicle's roof. The mounting system should be sturdy enough to secure the tent and can take between 30 minutes and two hours to install.

Here are some steps for mounting a rooftop tent:
Prepare the vehicle: Check the vehicle's manual to know the roof type and weight capacity.
Prepare the tent: Attach ladder brackets to the tent.
Attach the tent: Use the supplied stainless steel fixings to attach the tent to the roof rack or bars. This can be done by drilling holes in the roof rack or bars and bolting the tent down, or by using brackets to clamp the tent to the roof rack or bars.
Center the tent: Center the tent on the vehicle and attach the cross bar clamps.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts equally until the clamp is snug.
Install the cover: Slide the cover into the lower passenger side deck extrusion.

Some recommend using painters' bench seats on either side of the vehicle while setting up the tent for the first time. Others recommend using a pulley or hoist system to lift the tent into position.
